1 Tablespon olive Oil or Butter 1 small onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic, chopped fine Amount of fresh mushrooms you want
salt & pepper to taste
Pour butter or olive oil in pan, fry onions & garlic till onions are tender, add mushrooms, salt & pepper, cook 1 minute on one side, turn over and cook an additional 1 minute. Remove from heat and serve.
Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 cube butter (1/2 cup) 2 ounches dried mushrooms
1 pint heavy cream or half & half or combination of both or any type milk (soy/almond etc.)
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Grid mushroom stems in food processor, and chop mushroom caps. Bring butter and cream to soft boil, add pepper & mushrooms and return to soft boil. Boil another 5 to 6 munutes and remove from heat. Soup will thicken as it cools.
2 pounds ground beef 1 med onion, mince
salt, pepper, garlic powder, or any combination of spices you prefer to taste
2 eggs 1 ounce mushroom flour
mix all ingredients, cover, and let sit in refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours. Form into loaf or into balls and bake at 350 degrees untill done. WOW, what a mushrooms burger.
Garlic Pork with Shiitake (Moo Gratiem)
The blend of garlic and pepper makes this a simple and tasty dish to make.
2 pounds sliced pork lion
1 pound cut of whole (if size is small) shiitake mushroom
1 tbsp. fish sauce
2 tbsp. Thai soy sauce or maggi sauce
2 tbsp. chopped fresh garlic
1/2 tbsp. white ground pepper
1/2 tbsp. black ground pepper
2 tbsp. of oyster sauce
1/2 c. cooking oil
1 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
Heat the skillet and cook garlic with oil on medium heat. Stir in the pork and mushrooms, cook 5 minutes or until the pork is cooked through. Add fish sauce, Thai soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper and black pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Serve on a plate and garnish with fresh cilantro.
